The admission to the Animation & Visual Fx – Pro Edge course is based on a selection process namely the TOONZ CREATIVE APTITUDE TEST( T-CAT).
TOONZ Creative Aptitude Test (T-CAT)
The Toonz Creative Aptitude Test (T-CAT) is an aptitude test of creative ability that takes two hours to complete. It is designed to evaluate and measure various aspects of a candidate’s creative aptitude. The test encompasses a wide range of skills, including visualization, drawing, storytelling, technical proficiency, logical reasoning, communication, and general knowledge. Candidates are presented with tasks that require them to showcase their ability to think creatively, communicate ideas visually, construct engaging narratives, apply technical expertise, engage in logical reasoning, and demonstrate a solid understanding of different subjects. Additionally, the Toonz Creative Aptitude Test (T-CAT) also considers the candidate’s portfolio and involves a personal interview to assess their overall suitability for digital storytelling. By encompassing multiple dimensions, the Toonz Creative Aptitude Test (T-CAT) provides a holistic evaluation of a student’s creative potential and suitability for various roles in the field of animation film making and visual effects.
Offer of admission will be made only to selected candidates based on results declared by the selection committee. The selected candidates will be notified over email and phone, and they can confirm their seats through the payment of the admission fee within the last date mentioned in the admission intimation letter. The eligibility and the T-CAT selection process is as follows:

(a) Aptitude Test (Objective Type Online Exam)
(b) Creative Ability Test (Descriptive Type Online Exam)
(c) Online Interview
The details are as follows:
- Registration : Registration for the TOONZ Creative Aptitude Test ( T-CAT) by payment of fees along with the submission of the application form through online mode. Last date of receipt of application : October 26th, 2023.
- Aptitude Test : Registered candidates will be intimated through the email id / phone number provided in the application form submitted online.
- The Aptitude Test will be an online objective type test conducted between November 4th, 2023 & November 5th, 2023. Candidates will be provided with hall ticket by October 30th 2023
- Results of Aptitude Test : Candidates who have secured the score as stipulated by the selection committee will be intimated and called for the Creative Ability Test.
- Date of publication of the aptitude test results : November 8th, 2023
- Candidates shortlisted for the Creative Ability Test will be intimated through email. The Creative Ability Test will have descriptive type questions conducted through online mode.
- Candidates who have qualified the Creative Ability Test will be invited for an interview.
- The selected candidates will be intimated to complete the admission process as stipulated by TOONZ ACADEMY, NILA BUILDINGS , TECHNOPARK, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, KERALA, INDIA.
- In eventuality of the selected students not completing the admission process within the time frame provided in their admission intimation letter, the candidate loses their right of admission and the next candidate from the waitlist will be allotted the seat. TOONZ ACADEMY will not be responsible for the lapse from the candidate in this regard.
