About G A Menon Memorial Scholarship

Toonz Academy, the Technopark-based training division of the award winning animation studio, Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. will be offering G A Menon Memorial Creative Scholarships for their Animation Film Making- Advanced course beginning in January 2025. Scholarships are open for all young creative applicants with academic qualifications of plus 2 and above by age group of 18-28 and who may wish to showcase their concealed gifts in Painting, drawing/sketching can apply.

G A Menon, the Founder & Chairman of Toonz Animation India – and UST Global was a visionary who championed the cause of Kerala’s industrialization. According to Mr. P. Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation India, “Mr. Menon was an inspiring leader, and this scholarship is a tribute to a man with an undying spirit that influenced many people around him to aim high and excel.” This scholarship from Toonz Academy is especially aimed at those less fortunate, talented artists from the economically backward sections of the society aspiring to make a mark in the animation industry.

The duration of the course is 12 months and key areas covered will include Character modeling, Background modeling, Organic Character Texturing, Lighting, Character Rigging, Character Animation, Particle Effects, Dynamics, and Compositing. On completion of the course, the top performers will be given the opportunity for a 3-month internship at world class Toonz Animation Studio.
