The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala, has accepted a proposal submitted by Toonz Animation, committed to Animation Talent Development, through Toonz Animation Academy for the year 2017-18.
The Program Acronymed SITAR - STUDENTS INITIATIVE FOR TRAINING IN ARTISTIC REJUVENATION – is a custom-designed Training Program for Animation & New Media in and targeted at offering Career Guidance to students from the State of Kerala at the Higher Secondary level.
The Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell of the Department of Higher Secondary Education selects, every year, a particular area for providing specialized training to the students, intended to bring-out multifaceted talents of the students. The specialized training will explore the opportunities of career options in the selected area. As part of the programme, talented students will be provided opportunity to meet the Maestros in the chosen field and visits to national level institutes in the selected area.
Around 50 selected students will be immersed into a creative stream through systematic training and regular and frequent interactions with the Masters in the field. Starting form giving lessons on basic concepts and guidance in pursuit of a dream career, Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell of DHSE has been running this program successfully since 2012-13.
Theatre, Film-making, Design, Media & Information have been areas in which students have been exposed to and Toonz Animation has been selected, this year for the special program, taking us into the league of National School of Drama, New Delhi, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism in New Delhi.
